I have Age of Empires 1 installed and it runs fine on this Windows 10 laptop. exe file does not want to work either, no matter what I do: I tried everything as above. Running as admin, tried resuced colour mode and resolution - sometimes it gives a message asking am I sure I want to do this, other times I get the install button and when I click it, nothing happens. Rediscovering AOE 1&2 was amazing!
